Facing an exam is truly a difficult task for everyone. The examination fear and tension will make anyone tensed up facing an exam. Self confidence is very important for facing any exam. If you are not confidant about yourself then it’s natural that you feel down and this may result in a deficient performance in the exam. Building up self confidence is very important for facing an exam. Given here are some of the tips that can boost your self confidence and make you perform well in your exams.
1. The first and most important point is to believe in one self. We must believe in our skills and capabilities. When we know our strengths clearly then exams can be handled more confidently.
2. A proper planned preparation for the exam is very important. Preparation for the exams can be split up into two types. One is a long term preparation that would start off with the start of the semester and this is for you to learn the subject well. The other is the short term preparation that is for facing the examination well. Solving of mock exam papers and revising the course syllabus a few times will boost the self confidence of the student naturally.
3. Giving proper rest to the mind and body is also very important. This is required especially the day before the exam. Too much stressing the mind and body is not very advisable as this can make u feel physically week and hence you feel less confident to face the exam.
4. On the day of the exam it is advisable to have some light food. Taking heavy food or going to an exam in an empty stomach is absolutely not acceptable. Proper breathing is also very important. Shallow breathing results in less amount of supply of oxygen to the brain and thus you feel less confident.
Examination is just a test, and it is not the end of your life. A failure is always a stepping stone to success, so one must face the exam confidently.
