When you choose to buy a computer the most difficult question that comes to your mind is, “Should I buy a Laptop or a Desktop?” Laptops are the latest trend in the market and are being preferred by more people. A laptop computer or simply a laptop is a small computer that you can carry around. It has inbuilt batteries which give the required power supply so that you need not connect the computer to any power supply source. It is as small as a notebook and you can carry it in a bag as u travel. Laptops are usually of more cost than a desktop.

Most of the time this is covered as a part of the warranty provided to the computer. In case of a desktop, you need not have to go for the company for the service, but you can get the required part from any local shops yourself.
Some of the major brands of laptop manufacturers are IBM, HP, Dell, Toshiba and Sony. Price of a laptop has seen a remarkable fall over a few years. A laptop that cost $1600 in 2001 is now available for less than $1000 with better configuration. Prices range from as low as $800 to $2500 depending upon the brand and the configuration. Over the last 10 years, the market shares of laptops have increased form 10% to 50% and are expected to outnumber desktops by the end of the decade.
